Mendon May Day— 1932
Mendon To Have May Day Party— Mendon is planing on a May Day celebration Saturday, May 21st. One of the big features of the day will be the presence of the South Cache High School Band under the direction of William H. Terry. The days festivities will begin at 9:30 a.m. under the direction of the Sunday school superintendency. The Queen, Verral Kidman will be crowned by her consort, Okey Hiibner. The maypole dance will be danced by thirty little girls dressed in yellow dresses. May songs will be sung by the Sunday school children, directed by chorister, William I. Sorensen. Following this a spicy program in the ward chapel will be given. In the afternoon a band concert by the South Cache Band, a children’s dance, races of all kinds for young and old, a ball game and a dance in the evening will end the festival. Mendon Orchestra will furnish the music. All outside visitors will be welcome. May Day has been celebrated here since Mendon was settled. All the children look forward to this event with much anticipation.
