Peter Andrew Sorensen's 1888 school trustee in and for the Mendon School District, Cache County, Territory of Utah.
An interesting read in what was important at the time, regarding the qualifations for a school trustee. One wife and only one wife, were the major needs. Whereas Peter Andrew Sorensen did not ever marry, he filled the reequirements to a "T."
Many of Mendon's leading citizens were barred from public office due to the "problem" of polygamy, bigamy and etc.
These were interesting times to live in, to be sure.
